Need instructions on removing the ignition key lock switch on the steering column of a 1971 Corvette.

You have to disassemble the steering column partially to get from here to there.... Since T/Tele and standard columns differ, I wouldn't try to 'talk you through' this maneuver! Your copy of the 1971 Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual should address the task.- Top

Dale, go to www.corvettefaq.com, click on the steering section, and look up your specific application. A guy named Jim Shea, a retired Saginaw Steering engineer, has posted tons of schematics, exploded diagrams and just about every "how to" for standard and tilt/tele steering columns. In addition, as John H. says, the service manual has a great section. Combine that with the excellent information directly from the Saginaw manuals and you have a great resource.
