    C3//1971 RELAY?

I THINK THAT IT IS THE STARTER RELAY? ITS MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT INSIDE FENDER WELL NEAR THE AC/HEATER BOX IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT! EVERYTHING BUT THIS BOCSH RELAY IS RIGHT FOR THE CAR! IT HAS 2 LARGE WIRES ( ORANGE AND PURPLE ) AND 2 SMALLER ( BLUE AND BLACK ) WIRED TO IT! DOES IT SOUND LIKE THE STARTER RELAY? ALSO IF YOU KNOW, DOES THE 67/69 TRI POWER 427/4OO HAVE OVALPORT INTAKE, AND THE 427/435'S HAVE THE RECTANGULAR INTAKES? THANKS FOR ANY HELP! LARRY! PS, HARD TO BELIEVE SOMEONE PUT A BOSCH RELAY ON CHEVY!!!! HA HA

Please don't type your posts in capital letters. In computer language that means you are shouting. No need to shout here.

From your description I believe that you are looking at the blower relay. This relay controls the speeds on your heater and A/C blower fan. I do not believe that they are available from GM any longer but they are available in reproduction from many of the vendors including Dr Rebuild, Paragon, and Zip.

Agree with you Tony, the color description of the wires are exactly what is on my 70 with factory air conditioning connected to the original blower motor relay.
