I'm in dire need of the lower brackets for my '68 small block aluminum radiator core support. These weld to the support, bolt to the frame, and are triangular shaped. Does anyone have a source for these?

Re: '68 core support brackets
Good morning Dave,
I'm in the process of resurecting my very rusted core support to include lower mount bracket fabrication and other steel repairs.
I have taken off the damaged lower brackets and will be meeting with my metal fabricator Monday to look into creating new brackets and their associated costs.
If your interested and time allows you, I will keep you in the loop as it would probably be just as easy for them to crank out four as opposed to two.
Let me know,
Chuck- Top

Re: '68 core support brackets
Dave----
Contact CSC Reproductions of Rocky River, OH at 440-331-8939. They reproduce the lower core support channel for 63-67 with aluminum radiator. Although the complete support member is not interchangeable with 68+, the brackets are either the same or could be easily made to work. Perhaps they would sell you just the brackets. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: '68 core support brackets
Joe,
I sent them an email this morning asking them if the brackets were interchangeable between late C2's and mine - no response yet. If you would like, I'll let you know their response. Could be handy info for someone else in the future. Thanks- Top

'68 core support brackets-CSC update
CSC does not make these. They referred me to Caledonia in Michigan (888-245-5224) Talked with Gary at Caledonia, and discovered they make just about every metal part for '68's but not this bracket. He is looking into it and will let me know in a couple of days what it would cost- Top

Re: '68 core support brackets-CSC update
Hey Dave. I did the same with my support. Found the mounting braces at Coffman Manufacturing, http://www.coffmancorvette.com They were $110.00 for the pair in `99. They have an ad on page 31 of March Corvette and Chevy Trader. Good luck.

Re: '68 core support brackets
Chuck, call Clint at Coffman Corvette 888-774-0220. He has the factory design complete with cage nut. Tell him you're an NCRS member, and he will sell them for $45 each. Or don't say anything about the NCRS and see if they will be cheaper ;-)- Top
