    Re: Corvette engine???

Could be. The HO suffix was used twice. First in '65 as a 327ci/300hp with automatic in the Vette. Second was in '69 as a 350ci/300hp in the "B" bodies.

So all will depend upon the casting date.

      Re: Corvette engine???

My info shows the suffix HO is used from 65 - 68. In 65 & 66 a Flint engine would have an F stamp on it. After 66 Chevrolet used the V stamp. If you look at the rear right side of the block you should be able to find a casting date. On the front pad right side you should see a partial vin number. On the rear left of the block you should find the block number. Chevrolet used different block numbers in those years. If all of the numbers are located you should be able to determine the year and horsepower of the engine. The HO suffix was also used on a 1969 Chevrolet 350 cubic inch engine. This was not a Corvette engine.

If it is a Corvette engine, the VIN will be stamped on the pad next to the Engine ID, no exceptions since the V was only used for Flint Designation after '66.
