Greetings, Are Corvette starters for late 60s and 70s hard to find or easily available. My reason for asking is I have about 7 or 8 starters and don't want to dispose of them if they are hard to get and I may need one later and kick myself. On the other hand if they are easy to come by, I need to make room in the garage, so the question is "Should I keep them or lose them?" Thanks in advance, Kurt Bunting

Re: Corvette Starter Motors
Exactly. Let us know what you have.
As a rule, NEVER dump a Corvette part. Better to sell it or give it away.
By the way, if you've got a starter for a 65 396, you've got a rare jewel...

Re: Starter Motors
Some are rare as 'hens teeth' (Corvette only types for high horse or obscure applications) while others are common to other GM/Chevy passenger cars/trucks. BW to make a decision here is to do an inventory of what you have by P/N and date code, then compare to a resource like the handy NCRS pocket reference guide....- Top
