C 5 question.... about air lid swap

Although my heart and enthusiasm leans towards "early sharks", I did breakdown and purchase a '02 coupe.

Can someone tell me if you can swap the air box lid on a coupe or convertible with one from a Z06 model?

Do they just interchange or must the whole air box assembly be swapped?

Yes you can. Lids just swap out. All though you don't gain that much. Better way to go is install a Blackwing filter setup on the C-5. This gives you much more air flow. Check them out at www.lapd.com for pricing. You can also check the corvetteforum.com c-5 parts for sale for one at times.

Thank you for your reply. I have looked into a couple of blackwing units on ebay. I was going to wait until the warranty ran out, before any mods began. My car is in stock configuration currently.

I was also thinking of changing the sway bars to the ZO6 size, I ordered the car with F45, so I have the standard bar size.

I believe the Z51 bars are larger than mine, but smaller than the ZO6 bars, any preference here?
