My '58 came with tires mounted on Rally Wheels. I see in various post, that there are letters or part numbers identifing the wheel to a particular year and make vehicle. I can't seem to find them. Are they under the tires?

Re: Rally wheels
Terry - Chuck has most likely hit on the answer, as one would generally expect to see the wheel code ( a one ot two letter designation) stamped by the valve stem hole on original '67 and '68 (I'm not sure if it was all the '68 production year) production year rallye wheels and later rallye wheels had the wheel code plus manufacturing location and date information in the same general area. BTW, I have at least one '67 rallye wheel without a wheel code stamp. Also look on the outside face on the webs by the lug bolt holes and you should find a GM stamped on one of the webs and K-H stamped on another. '67 ralleys had the GM and K-H stamping and I think later ralleys did also, so you should be able to tell if it's a Kelsey Hayes wheel made for GM . If I'm wrong someone will send a correction. If the wheels are '67s or '68s, the date of manufacture and wheel size information will be stamped inside the wheel "under the tire." Pete- Top
