    69 block numbers

Is the block #3932386 correct for both 300 and 350 h.p. or just the 300? The book I have show that # ONLY IN 69, BUT IT IS NOT CLEAR AS TO WHAT h.p. used it.Also have an intake # 3890490, don't know if that is correct or not.The carb is not, I know it has to be changed. Thanks in advance .

My book shows the block correct for both the 300 and 350 HP.

      Re: 69 block numbers

Why not check the 68-69 judging manual?
On the chart on page 36 it indicates that the 350 (with no differentiation for horsepower, because there was none in the blocks) was 3932386, with 3932388 used in March 69 only, 3956618, and 3970010 appearing beginniing in July 69. It's amazing how much study and input has gone into the manuals over the years-- On page 46 is a chart that, amazingly enough, shows all the correct intake manifold numbers for 68 and 69.

I don't have one of the manuals. I did find 3890490 on the intake is this correct for the 350h.p.? I also found k128 on the block on the right side, is this 11 dec 68? The block# is definately 3932386.

Thanks again to all for your help.

          Tom -

The block is November 12, 1968. The 490 (aluminum) intake was used on '66-'67 327/350hp engines; the '69 300hp and 350hp engines used (iron) intake #3927184.

            Tom--
Since you don't have a judging manual--order one, read it, and memorize it. It makes no sense to have a $12-20000 car, and not spend $30 for a manual that can immediately save you more than that by helping eliminate mistakes,

I would like very much to have a judging manual Where do I order it. I have looked several different places on the NCRS website and haven't found them yet.I agree that a 25,000 dollar car is worth a 30.00 manual. Please advise.

                Tom,

Go back to NCRS start page and look for NCRS store or books and manuals. Gary & Eric Mortimer would be pleased to trade you a priceless judging manual for just a few bucks.

As Kent indicated--NCRS home page. Then online store. Then C3 library. You'll find it there. Enjoy.
