1963 muncie

does any one know the part # for the front bearing retainer cover of a 1963 muncie 4 speed with a 4 3/16" diameter to fit a # 3788421 bellhousing with the same diameter hole ? thanks

Sorry, I gave the T-10 part number, but I believe the muncie used the same retainer in '63.

Noland Adams has it as 3790072. Not available from SPO for a long time. It is not listed in my '70 parts book. That will be one rare bird as it only ran for a small portion of '63 only. You may find it easier, if less pristine, to swap to the '64 & later bellhousing so you can use the larger, more common 3915020. Be sure the bolt lengths are right. I forget which retainer had the thicker flange but if you use the long bolt with the thin flange it bottoms out on the gear.
