c-2 Transmission code

I have a question about this code(P7H22)found on the right side of the transmission. Is it some kind of date code ? What does these numbers and letter mean ...The car is a 1967 convt. with a body build date of june 19 (k19). Thanks for your help,

If I understand correctly, P=Muncie, 7=1967, H=June, 22=22nd day of the month. Therefore, Muncie transmission, assembled June 22, 1967.
