    C2 bumpers

I was checking the archives and could not find a definitive answer on how you can tell original bumbers from aftermarket. I know Paragon has a PR on theirs and the judging manual refers to aftermarkets as being thinner, but how do you know?

I need to re-chrome mine but when I took them off I noticed they were in fact thinner than the center cross bar so I do not know if they are originals. I would like to have originals on the car but I will probably re-plate the ones I have if that makes sense.

Do not compare them to the cross bar, the bar is much thicker than the bumpers.

        John,

If you have a micrometer or dial calipers, you will find original bumpers range from .110 to .120 inch thick.

        Can't speak for repops.
