I've had people E-Mail me about towing my Tear Drop Trailer asking how I put the hitch on. See other post and pic. too! Simple I designed the hitch as you see (three sided ) with two bolts holding it. The receiver bar was bent to clear the back, I also added AIR shocks , you can see where the tire cap is located .The wiring comes out at the bottom body drain hole.
My 1947 trailer weight 500lb. when adding my wife wardrobe add another 200lb, this and that stuff another 100lb , my stuff 50lb. My 55 is all stock 195hp V8 and the Corvette doesn't even know it's back there.
Yes stopping I give my self a little more time. But traveling all around the USA and Canada we never had any problems, but for people asking , do you sleep in it. And yes, we do now and then we cook in the back kitchen.
Pulling trailers behind classic and hot rods here in Ca. is becoming a big things on road trips.
People never know it's there and it was the best thing I ever added. OK I'll take a point drop.
