Andrew.....no need to remove rivits! I will be doing demo at Carolina Chapter Nuts and Bolts meet on the 20th of this month if you are in the Charlotte area. But, "you have mail" and will provide you with the details of this repair that does not effect the rivits, or the original back side appearance. Bob
I will not be able to attend that meeting. If you some info on the procedure that you could email to me also I would appreciate it.
Thanks: frankmccracken@shaw.ca
It may not be the most current method, however,Corvette Restorer Magazine Volume Twenty-two, Number Three, Winter 1996 has a good article on '64-'67 glove box door restoration.
Seems there is enough interest in this project to make it worthwhile for all; I am hoping to be able to complete a detailed, step-by-step procedure for this glove box rebuild this weekend. If you respond to this thread, and/or contact me with email, I will gladly send you an email with the Rebuild as an attachment. I will also be taking pictures etc. at our Nuts and Bolts meeting the 20th, and can have those available if needed. Bob
Is attendance at this event limited to chapter members? If not, can you advise as to where and when this "Nuts and Bolts" event will be held? This is not part of the Speedway Regional, is it?
I have complete the instructions/procedure for the glove box rebuild and all that inquired should have it by now. If you did inquire, and did not get it in your mailbox, please email me at and I will forward it to you. Bob
