What are the correct (for judging) Trico wiper arms and wiper blades for 56-57's? You see so many being sold as correct at swap meets and ebay for big bucks, I don't want to buy the wrong ones. Part #'s or other identifiers would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: 56-57 wiper blades
Garry,
I believe (at least the '56) the arm did not have the little rivet on the top side of the "spoon"( top surface was clean). Both years (I think) have the little rubber bumper rings on the ends of he blade. There are other differences in the wording stamped on them (which I don't know). Tom Maxwell is a good source for wiper information. Regards,- Top

Re: 56-57 wiper blades
agree with jim that the 56's did not have the rivet but i removed a set of original wiper arms from a 59 vette which also lacked the rivet so i'd favor no rivet from 56 to at least 59. i had a rivet-less pair on my 61 when it Duntov'd 5 years ago and the judges didnot dilike them. agree the maxwells are the c-1 wiper experts. mike- Top

Re: 56-57 wiper blades
Roy,
Thanks for the picture, easily worth 1000 words! The rivet (head) I was referring to can be seen in left side column under Bayonet Type. The top picture shows no rivet on the widest end stamped part of the arm (this is what I decided to call the "spoon", blame me!). Bottom picture shows a rivet. Regards,- Top

Re: 56-57 wiper blades "Roy"
Roy,
I'm confusing you. Sorry! On the left hand side of your picture go downward until you get to the Bayonet Type bold print and its frame border. To the right of this are two additional pictures each within their own frame. The one on top shows a little circle that locks the wiper blade to the wiper arm. The rest of this top surface "spoon" area is rivet free. The picture below this one is even better, it showns nothing on the top surface of the wiper blade.
Below Bayonet Type is another framed picture Bayonet Type -wide. These pictures show two rivets.I belive the '56 wiper blade did not have the rivet that is furthest out on the top surface as seen in this picture. Regards,- Top
