C1 silver questions

The silver color was an option for '58, '59, and '60, and was called "Silver", "Inca Silver", and "Sateen Silver" respectively. I have 2 questions about this:

1. Were they all the same actual "silver" color, only with different names?
2. Were all grease pencil trunk descriptions written as "silver" for this color? Or would it indicate "I. Silver" or "S. Silver" for the different names?

Go to PPG's website (www.autocolorlibrary.com) and look up the blend codes for each year. If they're different, then there was a modest difference in the factory original paints.

On what was grease penciled onto various body parts, this was typically worker 'slang' for that year's color and should be construed very loosely....

I have a copy of the Corvette Owners handbook 1955-1962. It list 1960 as Sateen Silver Metallic Ditzler # 31905. 1958-59 as Inca Silver #31425, no indication for metallic. My Sateen Silver 1961 had SILVER written on the bulkhead behind the passenger seat. Dupont and RM also list different codes for Inca and Sateen Silver.
