Here I go, When my headlight buckets are down and the lights turned off everything is fine. If I should turn on the lights the only thing that happens is the lights come on, no dash light comes on. The second that I open the buckets and the y-yoke releases pressure from the switch the warning light comes on and stays on. When I close the buckets the second that the y-yoke contacts the switch the warning light goes off, however my lights are still on. I have talked to several people and everyone gives me a different answer. The switch in question is marked normally closed. This would mean that with the plunger in it's normal position the circuit is closed, which means the dash light should be on, and it is. When the plunger is depressed it creates a open circuit which would turn the light off, which it does. It would appear to me that for this system to work either the switch should be in the normally open position or that somehow the bucket motors are installed backwards, which I don't think is possible, is it? The switches make contact when the buckets close. Hopefully someone out there can walk me through this problem

Re: C-2 headlight problem
Bob,
Are you talking about a C2? If so it sounds to me like the left and right inner supports are swapped around. Mine are off of my car right now and I went out and looked to see if it would be possible to swap them. It appears so. If your switch is at the bottom of the support and is being contacted when the headlight door is closed, then you would see the results you are seeing. The supports are marked right and left next to thier part number. If the parts are clean you should be able to check this out. I can email you a picture of mine that I took prior to removing the assembly from the car. Send me your email address if you want a picture.
