Can Anyone ID this fuel pump?

I purchased this fuel pump some years back. It was in a 24657 box and has a tag with 24657 stamped on it under one of the screw heads on the bottom side. There is no part number stamping on the pump itself.

    Anyone see anything wrong?

It has the AC logo on the top and bottom.

    thanks
    tc

Re: Can Anyone ID this fuel pump?

Looks like a '4657 fuel pump that's been down a reverse assy line for rebuild. Note the top center circle above the pump's dome lacks the raised 'AC' emboss characteristic of factory original AC '4657 pumps. You don't show the bottom, so we can't see if the lower cover has the LARGE AC raised emboss on it. Also, factory original AC '4657 pumps will have '4657' stamped into one of the four flats (could also be some suffix codes following 4657) on the pump body's mounting flange.

Thanks Jack, here is more information...

The 2 images on the right are of the pump I have. The AC logo is present on both the top and bottom.

The image on the left was provided by another member of his 4657 pump.

My primary concern was the difference in the casting where the screws protrudes through. Note the pump on the left has 2 opposing locations where there appears to be a widened boss at approximately 1 & 7 o'clock in the pic.

The pump I have lacks these widen areas and all screw locations have the same configuation.

Are both configurations typical of 4657 castings?

      thanks,
      tc

Re: Thanks Jack, here is more information...

Tracy, this has nothing to do with the casting config, but it appears to me the pump on the left HAS gone through the rebuilder's shop as Jack mentioned. The casting surface, rather than smooth as new, appears to have been "bead blasted" (quick clean-up treatment typical of rebuilders) giving it a grainy appearance.
