Initial Start Up of New Engine

I put a 355 SB together last fall for my 66, but have yet to start it because of work and school. I lubed everything well then (rocker arms, lifters, pre-oiled engine with a drill, etc.), but besides pre-oiling again, do i nedd to pull the intake an re-lube the lifters and rocker arms? Thanks in advance, Dan

    Dan...

Use the same sart-up procedure for a new rebuilt engine (pre-oil)etc. and you should be good for the go...

      Dan --

You should be good to go. Only other thing I would do is fill the carb bowl with gas before kicking her over. The faster she fires, the less initial wear on components. Fire the engine and run up to around 2000 RPM for 20 minutes to condition the cam and warm her up, then shut it down, drain all the oil, change filter, and refill. Now warm it up, adjust the timing to spec, adjust the dwell, and adjust the carb and drive on!

      Regards -
