Anybody have any suggestions for cleaning dirt and grease from a 63 F.I.plenum box ?

Don't bead-blast it or use steel wool.
Use mineral spirits (or spray brake cleaner) and a soft toothbrush.
If it still doesn't look as nice as you want, send it to Fred Hudson in Oklahoma City. He will put it in his ceramic bead vibratory cleaner. That mild process won't change the surface texture, remove the marbling, or even harm the data plate. Fred's phone number is (405) 942-2729.
