    Transmission ID

    Can anyone help me identify a transmission that I removed from my '56? It is a GM 4 speed with the following numbers. Main case cast #3925560, also stamped on the right side the flange 18S421311 and in larger case P8E22? the tail shaft has cast # 3857584, and the cover has cast # 3884685. Any help wuld be appreciated.

      I think you'll find that the main case casting number is 3925660. Anyway, the transmission is a 1968 Muncie. Based upon the NIN derivative, I believe that it was originally installed in a late-build 1968 Corvette.
