I recently purchased a 1966 corvette stingray. It is a 427 390hp and with matching numbers. I am interested in learning all I can about this car, such as orginal selling dealership, number of owners, and how many vett's were manufactured specked like mine. The only problem is that I don't known where to begain and how to locate this information, Any suggestions!

Paul
A good place to start looking is the NCRS store. There is a ton of material there with the info you are looking for. You might then go to the local library to check different books out to see which ones you would like to purchase from the NCRS store.

Re: 1966
Paul, do you have any owner history / paperwork from the person you bought the car from?
Your local state DMV may have information on previous owners. Some states don't have or won't give out the information. I successfully got owner history for my 396 when it was in Maryland.1969 Riverside Gold Coupe, L71, 14,000 miles. Top Flight, 2 Star Bowtie.- Top

Re: 1966
Paul, You could put an add in the "Driveline" looking for past owners. I found the original owner of my 66 there. He had the original P.O.P. as well as the dealer invoice for the car. The funny thing is he put the add in the "Driveline" looking for the car, before I could look for him.
Good Luck, Brian- Top
