    Automotive Lifts

Anybody have any experience with auto "stacking" lifts.

Are they a practical solution for storing an occasionally driven Corvette over a daily driver? If yes, are they all basically the same or are there features one should look for?

    John,

You might go to the "archive" area of this board and search for "lift" in the archives. There has been several informative discussions on this subject. That's how I decided what to get. Good luck!

            John,

I recently bought and installed am M6 Autolifter and am really pleased with the results. It's a 4 post unit that I bought for storage 1 st and maintenance second. If you buy I would reccomend you get the additional drip trays as it comes with 3 but 7 give complete bottom coverage. Also get the jacking tray which slides the length of the car and allows the use of a bottle jack to lift the car off the ramp and remove a wheel. The only other thing is don't plan on the advertised 2 hour assembly time. 6 hours is more like it for a novice. Other wise shop around and get your best deal and you will be pleased with the results.
