'74 Deluxe Interior

My '74 Coupe is equipped with a deluxe interior. I'm interested in knowing whether or not an original deluxe interior came with wood grain panels on the doors, instrument bezel, and shifter console.

Custom interior included leather seat trim, wood-grain accents and lower carpet trim on interior door panels, wood-grain accents on console, and special cut-pile carpeting.

Appreciate the information and photos...was able to confirm that I'm only missing the wood grain insert on the console. Any suggestions on where I might pick that piece up? Any precautions, i.e., ability to match door panel woodgrain inserts, etc.?

A correct repro is not available for this, Ray. They are a peel-and-stick vinyl (like contact paper). The originals were very thin wood.

The wood grain on mine is peel and stick. Available at Eckler's, Corvette Central, etc.

Buy two. It is a PITA to get it to fit just right and stick to the console. The glue on the back doesn't hold in the narrow areas and around the screw holes.

I waited until warm weather and heated contact cement in a pan of very hot water and appiled the glue to the console with an artist's paint brush.
