After exchanging several e-mails I think I got the word to Firestone, and they will correct the PV41 listing for the 225/70R-15. It is currently listed as 255/70R-15, which is an error.
Also, being as how this size has not been used on police package options for several years, I was concerned about its future, but I received the following answer from a product marketing manager"
"...While we do need to maintain sufficient volume to keep items in
production, this is not a problem for this size and I expect to be able
to supply it for several years...."
This tire is tough to find on the Firestone web site. A size search will not ferret it out. Search under "category" then "specialty tire". The PV41 is the only "specialty tire" listed, and it only available in the three sizes used by police package options over the last ten or so years.
