C2 Ignition Shield Bracket

I'm trying to install a distributor ignition shield 327/300 ... with little info to go on. The right side lower chrome bracket attaches to the bell housing. Does it attach or go inside the right side vertical bracket also? Secondly,does the LEFT side lower bracket attach to the bell housing ...if not where???? ...Ed

I'm not sure all mid years are the same. However on my 63 the right side verticle shield attaches to the spark plug shield with a thumb turn screw threaded into a u nut. It is easier to reach from the bottom of the car up. The left verticle shield is attached to a wire loom bracket with a thumb turn screw between the rear of the shield and the fire wall. The loom bracket is attached to the rear of the block where the 3782870 stamp is. There is a threaded hole at that location. Both verticle sides fasten loose to the tops of the wire looms with the thumb turn screws. Then slide the top shield over the side pieces and tighten the thumb screws.
