    Just did this on a 63 -

    1. Remove the headlight motor.
    2. Get a view from between the rad. support and the lower grille surround, and look for the small adjusting BOLT. There are two attached to a y-shaped thingy mounted on the inside door opening. It turns with the inside door mount shaft.
    3. Rotate the door and feel which bolt head is hitting the "limit" switch (that's the one that is not really a limit switch).
    4. Spray some liquid wrench type stuff on the bolt. Avoid spray on the switch.
    5. Wait a bit.
    6. Use a small (7/16 or so) wrench to turn the bolt in, making the bolt head hit the stop later.
    7. Re-install the headlight motor.

Step 6. involves some checking and re-adjust. I think you will understand when you find the bolt. It's very hard to see, so use "feel-a-vision", as per an old TV commercial made by Tennessee Ernie Ford.

      Hey Willy -

Which gap are you referring to?
