Hello, I have a 67 small block coupe. The front windshield leaks badly in several places. I'm looking for a recommendation on someone who is geographically close and does good work that could pull the windshield and then seal and reinstall. I live in Antioch, Il. 60002 this is 10 miles west of I-294 and a half mile south of the Wisconsin border. I would be willing to travel to neighboring states if necessary. Thanks Cary

Re: windshield sealing
Hi Cary- I recently spent 2 years+ studying C2's and I think you're in for a lot more work than a windshield sealing job. From my discussions with many C2 owners and an examination of the details in the C2 assembly manual and stripped bodies at swapmeets, I concluded the windshield/frame design was the most critical design flaw in C2's. I suspect you'll find the windshield frame is severly rotted away. The last guy I talked to (summer '03) who attempted a solid fix spent countless hours fitting/welding small strips of sheet metal into what remained of the original frame. He owned a junkyard somewhere near Stubenville, OH but I can't remember more. It was a medium blue (repaint) '64 coupe. I would spend a lot of time finding/talking to someone who's actually done it and study the C2 assembly manual before you pull the glass out. Best of luck.- Top
