I just purchased a 1965 with a 327-300hp. The car has sittng for a long time. The original oil canister was replaced with a spin on filter. The spin on filter is some off brand that I can't identify. Can anyone tell me the correct AC spin on filter to use. Thanks

Re: oil filter 1965 327
------Somewhere in my memory it seems to me that at least one of the conversions to spin-on filters used a Ford style filter. Anyone familiar with that? You will have to come up with the correct configuration filter and then cross-reference it with AC if you arent going to go back to a canister style. It really wouldnt cost you that much to take it back to original, and I have found canister style oil-filters to be perfectly reliable...........Bill S- Top

Re: oil filter 1965 327
I've had a spin-on conversion on my 65 327/300 for the past 17 years. While a PF25 is what the conversion adapter reads, the PF35 works as well, holds a little more oil, and has a little more filtration surface.
Good luck!
