Re: ENGINE PAD HELP
Mike-----
This is an engine manufactured in Mexico. It is likely a crate engine of some sort (like a "Target" or "Goodwrench" engine) or it is even possible that it was originally an engine used in PRODUCTION and later "transplanted" to its current residence. Some Mexico-sourced small blocks were used for some Chevrolet and GMC trucks also assembled in Mexico, but sold in the US (some Suburbans were like this). I can't decode the "VP" suffix code, though, so I can't tell you exactly what it is.
I can tell you one thing, for sure: this engine was NEVER originally installed in a 1969 Corvette. NEVER. EVER. PERIOD.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
