C2 Oil Filter Canister Silk Screen

    Hello,

Does anyone know of a vendor that I can send my original oil filter canister to have the correct silk screen logo placed on the canister? I know that you can buy the entire canister ready to install from the various Corvette parts vendors, but I'd rather not spend the $80 + dollars for one of theirs. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

James - I have heard you can get the silkscreening performed by Cranes Corvettes, in San Diego, but have not called to verify. Let us know, I have 5 good condition shells I want to restore. The Paragon reproduction canister is about half as thick steel as the original GM part, and I like you would like to replace my pitted original and Paragon repro with a clean original with new silk screening and powder coating....Craig

      James,
Paragon will run a new silkscreen on your original for $40 and shipping. Looks great, but a little salty.
      Regards, Jon

You can get a decal that you can apply yourself for a whole lot less. Using Terry's points-per-dollar calculation, I'm going to have my used original powdercoated, and then apply the decal. For $10 or less I'm done.

Then mask the decal and spray with clear to eliminate the ridge around the label, if your having your car judged.
