    Can anyone advise where to purchase a correct type reproduction battery for a 67?Thanks

    Check your DRIVELINE. There is a vendor advertising in there.

      There are 2 manufacturers of correct Corvette batteries ('67). One is New Castle Battery. They have distributers in several cities. National Parts Depot is one here in the Detroit area. They sell Chevelle, Camaro, Firebird, etc. restoration parts but the R 59 battery you need is the same for these cars. Their price is $120. The other liscensed manufacturer is Antique Battery. Their R59 sells for $135 direct or from Restoration Battery for about the same (see their ad in the Driveline). Restoration Battery has an impeccable reputation, and I was told that they buy their batteries from Antique Battery. Hope this helps.
