Auction # 2469421408 has a D-308 NOS with the box distributor cap for a mere $595.00, that's right not $5.95 but $595.00. It was listed twice before at $495.00 and didn't sell so I guess he decided if he asked more, people would think it is really rare. I wonder if he would buy a few at $450.00?

I'll need two of them so when I crap on one I'll have one to cover it up. Agree with the remark about different planets. Got to wonder what these people are thinking? There was also a "correct restored" quartz clock for a C1 on E-Bay for $375.00, so I e-mailed him and asked if it was a misprint and he said "no, it's worth it cause it's original and not Taiwaneze"

Terry,
I have seen that clock listed at least 5 different times and have never seen any intrest in it. Before long his listing fees will equal his asking price!
Yeah, this guy is acting like a jerk and is really sold on himself.
However, I have to agree with him, this IS a very rare part. Note that "insert" around where the steering column goes. This is a '64 dash adapted to fit in a very late '63 - the '63 dash supply ran out. My '63 (#21102) has a '64 dash. So is it worth $1963? Mmm, don't think so. But if you are restoring a very late '63, maybe $299 isn't out of the question.
It makes you wonder doesn't it? Why would he list that buy it now and start the bidding at $299 with no reserve? My only guess is he is enticing someone to bid to stop the buy it now option, but, little worry at that price......Craig
