C2 Help Identifying Rear End ID

I am having trouble identifying the rear end in my 1965 Roadster. The engine and transmission are original per the numbers, best I can tell. The rear end I can not decode. Stamp on the bottom edge of the case reads
"2 AM 5 9 68W" I think this decodes to 336 posi. Can you tell me if this is a May 9, 1968 unit?

Also the part number on the Ring Gear is "3735390 11:37 GM 12-67 2" Does translate to a 336 gear set??

The "AM" coding indicates the carrier housing was originally fitted with a 3.36:1 gearset. The GM #3735390 part number on the ring gear indicates that it REMAINS fitted with a 3.36:1 gearset. The manufacturing date on the case indicates that this unit was manufactured in 1968, so it could not be original to the car.

Thanks for the information. I was afraid I was reading it correctly, meaning it was not the original unit. It is not a show car so no real problem here, I am just trying to document everything as I take it apart and clean, paint restore.

And if you divide 37 by 11, you get 3.36!
