    We do know that at least one 63 had 2 bar knockoff's. At least for the pics on the 1962 Road and Track cover. I'm sure that they didn't have digital photography and paste that one. They probably came off at the end of the track and destroyed the 63.

    As I recall the cars on the cover of Oct R&T had three bar nuts that appeared
    to be the same as the released nuts.

    Those cars were hand build prototypes and had a number of differences from
    production. For instance, the fresh air inlet grilles were integral with the cowl panel, not removable. Also, the instruments had different lettering and the seat back contours were different than production.

    There were likely many other differences with production examples that weren't visible in those studio photos.

      Joe. I have often heard the wheels referred to as quick fall off. I remember seeing several mid years with cracked fenders.
