Does anyone remember the name Rex Maguire from pre 1963 Corvette racing. I have not been able to uncover any reference to him from the information I have.I am told he was a GM supported driver.....back door I believe. Any information on him would be very much appreciated.

Everyone back then was back door supported, at least that is what they will say. Now most got help and advice and even breaks on parts, but only a few actually got big support.
If you want to find more, you need to contact the SCCA Historian. "Peter Hylton"
He charges a small fee to offset the time needed to search, since it is a manual search through lots of paper issue SportsCar magazines. It will help if you know when and where Rex raced.
If Rex raced National races, he will probably show up in SportsCar. If he only did regionals, then he may not show up anywhere.
If you know where he was from, you can check the divisions and locate the current regional officers who might be able to put you in contact with people from that time that may remember him.
It is unfortunately a very slow and long process that often yields little results.
