I use my 89 Corvette coupe as a daily driver in the summer months. I am currently running Goodyear GSC's. The car is not driven hard or raced. I need 4 new tires and would very much appreciate any and all recommendations for the "softest most comfortable driving tire" available. I am quite willing to sacrifice all performance handling characteristics for a "soft" ride. Thanks.

Re: 89 Corvette tires.
The size resticts you to mostly summer high performance or all-season high performance, but check The the Tire Rack for "touring tires" in the applicable size, and look at the owner reviews.
As a general rule, a "touring tire" will be biased a bit more toward ride quality than a high performance tire.

Re: 89 Corvette tires.
Rick, your car must have the Z51 performance handling package. I always thought my 87 rode really well for a car that handled like it was on rails (No Z51).
But, that 800 mile trip to the Steamboat regional nearly broke my old (somewhat younger then) bones...the wife and I were growling and hissing at each other all the way back. Maybe we need to check out fluff-bottomed Caddys for our daily drivers and "touring" vehicles.- Top
