    C159: ****a !!!

    ****a,

My rear axle seems to be the right one afterall. Since the u bolts were to wide for the moutning plate I thought the rear axle wasn't replaced and therefor not correct. After finally checking the numbers this morning (3725899 G89) it seems that it works out that it is still the original axle. I wonder why these U bolts don't work out fine with the mounting plates (holes in the plate are not far enough from eachother to fit the U bolts in).

    greetings,
    Rob.

    Rob,

You didn't say how far off the U bolts are...a little or a lot.

It is not unusual for U bolts to be too wide or too close to fit easily through the plate. If not too far off, some forcing will get them through the holes and the nuts will pull them through and tight.
