The 1967 Judges' Reference Manual describes cutout flaps that allow the seat runners to bolt directly to the floor, and cover the runner and bolt at the FORWARD seat mounting track. How is the carpet handled at the REAR seat mounting track? Does the track rest on top of the carpet with the seat being secured by a bolt through the carpet, or is a small rectangular piece of carpet cut out so the track can sit directly on the floor?

Re: Midyear Carpet Flaps and Cutouts
JOE,MY 1967 ROADSTER HAS THE REAR SEAT TRACK BOLT DOWN AREA CUT OUT TO ALLOW THE TRACK TO REST DICTLY ON THE FIBERGLASS. I BELIEVE THE CARPET IS ORIGINAL. THE INNER PORTION OF THE CARPET CUTOUT JUST RISES TO THE ACTUAL TRACK,COVRING THE BOLT DOWN FLANGE SLIGHTY. THE LEFT SEAT AND RIGHT SEAT CUTOUTS ARE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT AS IF THE CUTOUTS WERE MADE BY HAND. HOPE THIS HELPS!- Top

Re: Midyear Carpet Flaps and Cutouts
I think that the rear mounts sit on the carpet....no cut out. I'm no 67 expert. Wait till you get more advice before you cut. Chuck1963 Corvette Conv. 327/360 NCRS Top Flight

Re: Midyear Carpet Flaps and Cutouts
Yes the carpet is cut so the seat frame rests on the fiberglass. The cutout actually is from the from to the back, so no carpet is under the metal runner. The back clamp was in the car when it was painted so it will have some color overspray. The cut of the carpet in front leaves a flap so you can not see the bolt head from outside the car looking in. I have some pictures that I will try to find and scan for you. Ken- Top
