C1 vs passenger spiral shocks

There is a repro supplier making "47-54" shocks. Would these be applicable to C1s?

early c-1's used spirals and they were same length as the 49-59 chev although the hydraulic characteristics differed. the repo's will fit and since the part # and date(which almost certainly will differ from that of the c-1) are near impossible to judge, i'd guess the judge will just look and see spirals and move to the next item and the shocks will get full credit. mike

Dave,
I saw the pictures you posted of the spiral shocks that someone is now making. I am not an expert on these, but I do have the originals that came on my '56. If the picture of the one on the bottom is to be the fronts, they are not the correct configuration. The originals were a one piece outer shock, not two piece. The rears (upper picture) look pretty good though. Let me know where you found these please! Thanks.
