Booster Dewey had my booster for replating and i was not happy. It took three times to try to get it right. They never did get it done to my satisfaction. It kept on comming back to me with a drip stain on the top of the booster were it was the most obvious. They were not receptive to a refund, partial or otherwise. I finally gave up , sent it to a local guy, who at the moment can't think of his name.He did it once, did it right. So much for Booster Dewey telling me it was a contaminated spot on the metal.
I sent my brake booster to Steve at "Brakeboosters" and it looks excellent. He will also replate the M/C cap at no charge if you send it along. The succeess of the plating depends on the condition of the base material. If you have rust pitting there may be problems. Steve will call you before he commences work. I have not reinstalled the booster, as I'm in the middle of a frame off, so I can't tell you if it functions properly. The turn around time was only two weeks and the price was very reasonable.
Steve Gregori at Breakboosters.com did mine about a couple of months ago and I was very satasified with it. He was in the middle of moving his shop at the time and warned me that it could take 3-4 weeks to get it back. I was surprised to recieve it about a week and a half later.
