My switch has failed and is broken inside. The repos are outrageous!, the vendors won't sell only the switch. I've been looking at various vintage GM power window switches and it would appear except for the bezel the switch is the same. I also noticed that GM still sells a single power window switch new and it looks correct. Has anybody done this? is there a part number for the switch only?
Kevin,
I checked a few references for you and the repros are pricey. I wouldn't put a later style switch in place, that seems kind of wonky to me. I work on cars and hate to find Mickey Mouse wiring and splicing of harnesses. Give Dave Sokolowsky a call 310.329.5334 for the original part. He's got warehouses full of parts and he's very reasonable. I send all my Corvette friends to him. He's all over Hemmings in the Corvette parts section. Good luck!

Yes I know David, I've been to his place, just haven't asked him yet. I don't plan on splicing anything, I'm hopeing that the switch will fit right in and connect to the original harness. Heres a switch that looks right, I haven't taken my switch apart yet this just happened this weekend.
Kevin,
Take it apart. It is real easy to fix. Cut off the two plastic rivets holding it together. To reassemble when done use a little glue. This is an easy fix.

My switch has been repaired before. It lasted about a year, and you had to really apply pressure for it to work. I'll keep you guys posted if I find a replacement, I'm sure there's more than just me that only needs the switch.
I have a spare repro switch still in the package, never been used from LICS. Its supposed to be correct for a '64. I don't know how it would compare to a '67 but I wouldn't think there could be too many differences.
Its just hanging on a pegboard hook in my garage. If you want it, make me a reasonable offer and its yours. I don't expect you to pay anything near what the repro parts vendors want.
