The fan on my recently purchased '69 L46 coupe looks like it may be for a '66 AC car. I'd like some help confirming that is is or is not.
The fan was obviously added at some point because it had been chromed. It's a 5 blade fan with what appears to be a heavy pitch, and about 17.5" diameter at the widest spread of the blades. It is stamped with "FRONT", "66" and "W" on one side. Also has square rivets, rather than mushroom type.
Interestin thing is that it looks identical to the original fan on my '66 BB AC car (which, by the way, is slightly tweaked and needs replacing). Note that the original fan from the '66 does not have "66" stamped on it. Otherwise, the fans look identical in pitch and diameter.
Were there any PN's stamped on original '69 L46 fans? Thinking about cleaning-up/spaying over the chrome and using this fan on the '66 and getting a "correct" replacement for the L46.
