A friend's 65 327/350 SB coupe needs a new fan clutch. Can anyone please recommend a generic replacement that will function correctly at a reasonable price. Where is the best place to shop for one? Thanks.

Re: 65 SB Fan Clutch.
GM's can clutch could possibly be the best, I don't really know since I did not buy a GM replacement for my 327/350 about 20 years ago. I bought a fan clutch from Auto Zone. It is still functioning and was a reasonable price. You might want your fan clutch rebuilt if it is the original. This service is available.- Top

Any auto parts store can get you a serviceable fan clutch for the car. It won't look correct, but it will function just fine. There are many brands out there, but I think that these clutches are actually made by only a few different companies. Definitely ask for a "thermal" type, though. The real "cheapies" are non-thermal and I wouldn't use one of those. I think that these are sensitive to engine speed only.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
