    Argent Silver w/green tint formula (yes again!)

    Hi all,
    I have been searching hi and low for some specific information on the correct paint code / formula to mix a quart of PPG Argent Silver (DDL 8568) to the correct green tint for a 69. I've checked both boards and the archives for days now. Several members keep refering to a book "68-82 restoration guide... or How to restor..." which I think I have but cant find any formulas in them. I've looked through all the sections dealing with wheels... I apparently dont have the correct one...(need the auther info). The most speciffic info I've found was... to add 4-5 drops of med green tint... which could be anything.

    I know OEM has cans of spray paint the correct color, but I'm really more interested in a PPG product.

    Any and all help appreciated... I need to get these wheels finished ASAP.

      I had the paint you need mixed and put into spray cans just last fall. The PPG paint code was DDL8568. I had the paint supplier add 4 drops of a medium green tint. It turned out really nice. I got the paint code from the PPG color library. It cost me $4.50 per can and 1 pint yielded 3 cans. Hope theis helps.

          ... what amount of paint did they add four drops to... a pint of 8568 or a quart?

              I ordered the minimum they would mix which was 1 pint. It yielded 3 spray cans.
