What finish should the bolts that go through the trunk hinge and into the trunk lid be? Cadium?
Also, what should be the treatment of the metal strip that fits on top of the T-nut under the door end cap. This strip seems to need to be "bent" around the final edge of the door weatherstripping. I had to "fold" is over quite a bit in order to keep it from contacting the door jamb. Is this correct?
One last question. How many of the plastic rivets are used to hold the auxilliarly door weatherstrip on an early '59? What should be the location of them? I can see where two of them go, as there are indentations on the new weatherstrip. I suspect that they should each have two additional rivets. My doors don't seem to have the proper holes in them already. Can someone help me on this? Thanks.
