My 1967 came from the factory with the brackets so I just have to cut the carpet and install the Allen head screws with metal belt end and pouch. The pics I posted earlier were from someone else's body off.

So I understand it,Noland says shoulder belts (or the bracket) may have appeared as early as 11,000,shoulder belts themselves "not before"15,000 (as an option I'm assuming)and more than likely after 17,000+or-.
So it seems that when GM started installing these brackets on all cars is when people started ordering it as an option (all 37 of them!)It seems that only documentation will confirm an authentic shoulder belt optioned car.What other way would there be?.
