    #63 4055 primary carb jets

Yesterday in the mail, I got from the previous owner, the original #63 primary carb jets he had taken out. He said he had installed #67's. Can anyone tell me where I can find them in the "exploded" diagram for the 4055 carb? I have the 68 Service, Chassis and 66-82 Shop Manuals. Where the heck do these things go? It looks like they just screw in. What can I expect when I get them in and what will I need to re-adjust? Also, am I supposed to be able to get the primary carb off without taking off one of the other two? I was going to do this while I had to helicoil one of the carb/manifold stud holes I had discussed earlier. Any help appreciated. Tom #24014

Thanks Wayne. The Vette guy I hang out with has been busy building his car again this week, hence all my tech questions (and time to kill). Appreciate the info will post up if I have more questions.

            Yo, Tom......

when you change out the jets, use a screwdriver that is wider than the jets. If you use a smaller screwdriver, and the head barely fits the jet slot, you risk nicking or gauling the jet. When this happens, you impred the flow of fuel. The car will still run, but not at its' peak. This according to Holley.

Will do. Still waiting on info from previous owner if he changed power valve too. Thanks

PS: That's really wierd about your grilles. Early 68 symptom? By the way my "corrected" colors are BLACK and SILVER (silver over black grilles) not the previous SILVER and BLACK (as per jon). Tom #24014
