the inside fiberglass reinforcing at the lower sides of the rear windows on my coupe are against the body in the front of the windows but are about 1/2" away from the body at the rear of the window. is this the way it should be? something don't look exactly right but i don't know of another around here to compare it to.
thanks,
mac
I'm not sure what you are talking about with the reinforcements. The sections to the rear of my windows are about a half inch thick or so, but htey are not away from the outer panel. Do you actually see a gap between yors and the outer body panel?
hey mike,
thanks for the reply. i've got my carpet out and on my car, right behind the door lock post, the window reinforcing is against the outer body panel, but it tails away from the body panel the farther back it goes, to about 1/2" away from the body panel at the back. it does this on both sides. is it a bonded joint where yours is 1/2" or so? maybe mine didn't get bonded.
mac
