Has anyone purchased glass, (windshield, side, back,) from AUTO CITY CLASSIC in Minnesota? Just wondering about the quality, thickness, fit, etc. before I place an order.

Re: C2 window glass
I purchased a date coded windshield for my 66 from them. They got the wrong date code on the first windshield. I returned it and they sent me another correct one. Quality is pretty good once the correct one was received. Their price seems to be the best around -- cheaper than OEM and others.

Repro glass; font design correct?
Dave,
At a judging event last month there was 66 being judged and one of the side windows was a replacement and the judging team took a deduct because the font used for the LOF and other lettering was noticably different than the other original glass on the car. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time, so I can't recall how the font differed, but I do recall it was pretty obvious by looking a the repro next to the original glass. The driver's side window on my 66 has a small piece missing, so I'm wondering if there are differences among vendors with regard to the font that is used for the lettering. Or is all mid-year repro glass made by the same vendor, so it will look the same regardless of whom I purchase from?
Thanks,
Gary- Top

Re: C2 window glass
I bought a windshield from Auto City Classics for my 62 C-1. It was very well done except for one item. Under the LOF logo was the word "Laminated". My original
W/S did not have this word. I dont have my 62 judged so no big deal but for someone going for Top Flight maybe a consideration. But then again it was a lot cheaper than OEM.- Top
