There are 18 screws that hold the gas tank cover in place on my 1960. The front nine screws thread into captive nuts, the 7 rear screws thread into J-nuts and the 2 side screws thread directly into the fiberglass. My front 9 screws are the same size and length and they are made out of aluminum. Are aluminum screws correct? If not, what size screws are correct?
What size should the side and rear screws be? The screws I removed are several sizes and a mixture of phillips and straight head screws; obviously not original or correct.
